Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, dedicated to delivering innovative and comprehensive solutions that improve the daily lives of millions of people worldwide. Operating across a wide range of industries, including food service, catering, facilities management, and integrated workplace solutions, Sodexo partners with clients to create remarkable experiences for both customers and employees. The company prides itself on its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, striving to foster an environment where every individual feels valued and respected. Sodexo's extensive presence and expertise make it a trusted partner for businesses looking to enhance their service delivery and operational efficiency.

This job opportunity is for a Premium Bartender Non-Tipped position located at the British Airways Lounge in San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This is a full-time role offering a competitive hourly wage of $20.10. The position demands a bartender who can blend creativity and precision in mixology to craft both classic and innovative cocktails, contributing to an elevated customer experience in a premium lounge setting. Working under the Sodexo brand, the bartender will be expected to provide a seamless and enjoyable beverage service in a high-end environment characterized by a diverse clientele that includes frequent flyers, business professionals, and international travelers.

The Premium Bartender's responsibilities transcend basic drink preparation. The role involves engaging with patrons to educate them about the menu, taking and serving orders with care, and ensuring all beverages are served to the highest standards. The bartender also shoulders the responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, which includes handling stock management for beverages like beer, wine, and spirits, preparing specialty mixers, slicing garnishes, and cleaning glassware and utensils. Compliance with all food and beverage regulations is critical, including verifying customer age for alcohol service and adhering to health and safety standards.

Furthermore, the role may involve mentoring or supervising junior staff members, assisting with training as directed by onsite management, and adapting to various client-specific requirements due to the unique nature of each Sodexo-managed account. The position requires flexibility to work any shift as availability is open, reflecting the dynamic operation hours of the lounge environment.

Sodexo emphasizes creating a work culture where employees feel empowered to act with purpose and thrive in their roles. The company supports career growth through ongoing training and development opportunities, thus turning a job into a fulfilling career. Benefits offered go beyond competitive compensation, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans such as 401(k), discount programs, and potentially site-specific perks like complimentary meals, uniforms, safety equipment, and transportation support.

This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for mixology and hospitality and wish to work in a prestigious setting within the aviation industry. The Premium Bartender position at Sodexo is not just a job but an opportunity to contribute to a better everyday experience for travelers while advancing one’s career in one of the world's foremost service companies.
