The Premium Bartender Non-Tipped position at the American Express Lounge located at ATL - 48991011 offers a unique opportunity to work part-time with a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about the art of mixology and delivering exceptional customer service in premium hospitality settings like lounges, stadiums, corporate offices, hospitals, and campuses. The schedule involves varying shifts, including days, hours, and rotating weekends, which offers flexibility to accommodate different lifestyles.

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting both classic and innovative cocktails with a keen eye for detail including the selection of appropriate glassware and garnish, enhancing the overall guest experience. As a Premium Bartender, you will engage with patrons by taking orders, serving drinks either directly or via waitstaff, and offering personalized recommendations based on their preferences. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area is essential to ensure a sanitary and welcoming environment. This includes stocking beverages, slicing fresh garnishes, preparing specialty mixers, and cleaning utensils and glassware.

Compliance with food and beverage regulations is critical in this role, requiring verification of customer ages and adherence to all safety standards to ensure a responsible service of alcohol. Depending on the site, you may also undertake training and supervisory duties, helping to develop junior staff and uphold service quality standards. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 3 years of related experience with a focus in high end establishments or hospitality management experience preferred
  • Holds an appropriate license, certification, or permit to bartend and or service food in the city and state in which the work will be performed if applicable
  • Mixology certifications or training desirable

Job Qualifications

  • If applicable, holds an appropriate license, certification, or permit to bartend and or service food in the city and state in which the work will be performed
  • Mixology certifications/training desirable

Job Duties

  • Create classic and innovative cocktails, selecting the appropriate glassware, garnishing drinks and educating customers about the drink menu
  • Take orders and serve drinks either directly or indirectly through waitstaff, assessing customers' needs and preferences to make recommendations as needed
  • Responsible for maintain the bar area, ensuring it is neat, sanitary, and well-stocked, including stocking ice, beverages (beer, wine, liquor), slicing bar fruit, preparing specialty mixers, cleaning glassware, utensils and other bar necessities
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations, ensuring the bar operates efficiently, including checking identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • May be responsible for training and supervising employees as directed by onsite management
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
