Job Description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a premier 365-entertainment destination located in Austin, Texas, known for hosting world-class sports and entertainment events. This internationally recognized venue is home to some of the most thrilling and high-profile events in the country, such as the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR races, and MotoGP championships that draw global audiences. Beyond motorsports, COTA also showcases a vibrant concert scene, with LiveNation managing over 30 headline concerts annually at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater, enhancing its standing as a dynamic entertainment hub.

Operating within this esteemed venue is Proof of the Pudding, the trusted catering operator for COTA, which is currently seeking Hospitality Bartenders to join their Premium team. Hospitality Bartenders at COTA play a critical role in ensuring that guests enjoy exceptional service in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. These professionals are responsible for managing product inventory efficiently, preparing simple yet quality beverages, adhering strictly to company and federal alcohol policies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization during and after events. Given the diverse and dynamic event calendar at COTA, bartenders must be adaptable and ready to handle various work assignments that may shift daily.

The ideal Hospitality Bartender will bring at least one year of bartending experience and possess certification such as TIPs or TEAM, certifications Proof of the Pudding supports by providing training if necessary. They must exhibit a deep understanding of upscale VIP service styles, ensuring that clients receive service that meets the high standards expected at a premier venue like COTA. Bartenders at the venue are expected not only to prepare drinks but to provide attentive customer service throughout events, demonstrating excellent communication skills, thorough organization, and meticulous attention to detail.

Working at COTA offers bartenders the opportunity to be part of a renowned and exciting environment with constant interaction with guests attending major sporting and entertainment events. This part-time position offers flexible schedules based on business demands, and bartenders receive a free meal during their shifts. The role also provides valuable on-the-job training applicable across the hospitality industry and prospects for career advancement within Proof of the Pudding, which actively seeks to elevate talented team members.

The work environment varies widely — bartenders might find themselves indoors at the amphitheater or outdoors at various points of the expansive venue. The position requires physical stamina to move around the grounds, perform setup and breakdown responsibilities, and handle equipment and supplies. The company emphasizes a strong set of core values including business acumen, dedication, ethics, teamwork, safety, communication, initiative, adaptability, and a service-oriented mindset. Proof of the Pudding and COTA collectively foster an inclusive workplace, promoting diversity and equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants.
