Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or barback role preferred
  • Valid food handling certificate
  • Valid alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift heavy items such as kegs
  • Available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management staff and guests
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions related to product inventory
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Experience working in a high-volume bar setting preferred
  • Possess valid SNHD food handling card, Alcohol Awareness or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Stock products for the bar including nonalcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, and ice wells
  • Sweep and mop the bar area
  • Move kegs in and out of keg coolers and tap kegs
  • Draft beer and pour wine for guest orders
  • Run supplies for bartenders including fruit, napkins, cups, utensils and stirrers
  • Ensure bar equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar and surrounding areas using sanitation procedures
  • Recognize and report visibly intoxicated guests to bartenders
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability
