Job Description

Join an esteemed leader in the airline hospitality industry as a Premier Airline Lounge Food Supervisor supporting the exclusive United Club Lounge located at Portland International Airport, Oregon. The United Club Lounge offers an elevated travel experience, catering to premium and business travelers who expect comfort, quality, and exceptional service before they board their flights. United Airlines, renowned for its commitment to innovation, customer care, and operational excellence, operates these lounges to provide a calm, welcoming environment amidst the fast pace of air travel.

As the Premier Airline Lounge Food Supervisor, you will step into a challenging yet rewarding role within this upscale hospitality setting. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring that every guest receives a seamless and superior lounge experience. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.94 and is situated in a vibrant airport lounge environment, where no two days are alike. The role requires open availability Wednesday through Sunday, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands.

You will be responsible for managing and supporting daily lounge food service operations while leading a dedicated team of front-line staff. This position demands not only a passion for hospitality but also strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation in compliance with HACCP guidelines. Your role will involve hands-on supervision of food preparation and service, thoughtful scheduling, training, and development of your team members, as well as monitoring productivity and driving continuous improvement through effective coaching.

Guest satisfaction is paramount at the United Club Lounge, and you will be expected to resolve any guest concerns professionally and efficiently, embodying the polished and professional demeanor that reflects the United Airlines brand. The role is fast-paced and requires the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and upholding a safe, clean, and professional workspace.

To be successful in this position, you must hold an Oregon Food Handler's Card and an OLCC Alcohol Server Permit. Experience requirements include 2 to 3 years in hospitality or culinary roles, preferably within high-end service environments. Your communication skills and service orientation will support creating memorable travel experiences for each lounge guest. Passing a TSA background check and authorization to work in the U.S. are mandatory. The physical demands of the job include the ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours, frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds (and occasionally up to 40 pounds), and the capability to bend, reach, and move throughout the lounge.

Joining this team means more than just employment — it's an opportunity to advance your career within an internationally respected airline. The United Club Lounge is an environment that supports career growth and advancement, offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, and opportunities to develop professionally in a dynamic industry. Embrace a role that combines leadership, hospitality, and operational excellence in one of the nation's busiest travel hubs where your work profoundly impacts the travel experience of thousands every day.
