Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is recruiting for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 position located in Salt Lake City, UT. This role operates on the second shift from 3pm to 12:30am on a 9x80 schedule, although shift hours may be negotiable. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and able to achieve soldering certification (J-STD-001). This position involves a variety of precision electromechanical assembly operations that require high attention to detail and the ability to work with microscopes extensively for assembly and inspection processes. Training will initially occur during the day shift to complete necessary certifications and skill validations before transitioning to the second shift. The training duration typically ranges from 2 to 6 weeks depending on competency. This role is vital for assembling, disassembling, repairing precision assemblies, and occasionally working on prototype units for engineering personnel. The work requires the use of precision measuring instruments to ensure strict conformance to specified tolerance and may involve monitoring and verifying quality through statistical process controls. This position offers a salary range of $40,700 to $67,900 annually, reflecting the responsibilities and candidate’s qualifications. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives for higher-level roles.
