The role of an Assembler at Benchmark involves the installation and removal of mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies in accordance with detailed work instructions or visual aids. Assemblers may be required to troubleshoot failed assemblies to identify and implement corrective actions. This position is crucial in ensuring products meet the company’s high-quality standards and are produced on time. The job requires proficiency with hand tools and custom fixtures while working collaboratively with other assemblers and support teams. Assemblers validate and inspect their own work and maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper tool management. Attention to security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation is also a significant part of the role.

Assemblers may participate in product testing and contribute to lean manufacturing activities designed to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. The position demands mechanical and electrical aptitude, including knowledge of circuits, electric static discharge (ESD), torque and strain mechanical properties, and fluid and pneumatic systems. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to respond to instructions and provide timely feedback within the production process.

This full-time position is based in Mesa, Arizona, operating on the first shift from Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role may require overtime as needed and offers opportunities for cross-training across various areas.
