The company serves a diverse client base ranging from commercial and industrial to government entities, ensuring projects meet the unique needs of communities and stakeholders. From pipelines to power plants, roadways to reservoirs, and security solutions to schoolyards, TRC’s multidisciplinary approach makes it a leader in breakthrough thinking and the execution of complex projects that make a real-world difference.
At TRC, employees are part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and agile corporate culture that values expertise, curiosity, and diversity. The company invests heavily in staff development through ongoing training, certifications, and career growth opportunities. TRC also fosters an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are embraced and every team member’s contribution is valued. With a strong focus on sustainability and community impact, TRC’s work positively shapes the future, making Earth a better place to live on a project-by-project basis.
The Precast Concrete Inspector role available at TRC is a full-time position based in Pennsylvania, offering an hourly compensation range of USD $21.22 to USD $35.38 depending on experience, education, and skill level. This role entails working at precast or prestressed concrete plants specifically producing transportation-related structural items for Departments of Transportation (DOTs). Candidates will typically engage in assignments of several weeks’ duration, visiting approved supplier plants. The role is hands-on and requires a minimum of 3 years of concrete construction experience, including at least 1 year in precast or prestressed construction.
The ideal Precast Concrete Inspector will be responsible for inspecting quality, verifying materials, reviewing compliance with blueprints and shop drawings, and preparing detailed reports. The position demands strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to operate digital tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation purposes. ACI Level I Field Technician Certification is required, while NETTCP Precast Inspector or PCI Level II certifications are highly preferred but not mandatory.
In addition to technical skills, candidates must be physically capable of lifting at least 40 pounds and comfortable working across various environments including office settings, manufacturing plants, and outdoors. Travel to DOT labs and between assignment locations is part of the role, requiring flexibility and a professional demeanor. TRC values positive attitudes and initiative, encouraging inspectors to demonstrate accountability and a proactive approach to their work.
TRC also emphasizes employee wellbeing by offering competitive benefits that cover medical, dental, vision, and disability insurances. Alongside a robust 401k plan with company match and both traditional and Roth IRA options, employees enjoy paid time off ranging from 15 to 25 days annually plus a minimum of 8 paid holidays. Leave programs including paid sick, family, and disability leave are compliant with state laws and extend to part-time employees. This comprehensive benefits package reflects TRC’s commitment to supporting its workforce while fostering long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
This Precast Concrete Inspector opportunity represents a chance to engage in impactful infrastructure projects, grow professionally in a respected firm, and contribute to sustainable development initiatives. Joining TRC opens the door to meaningful work with a leading company that champions innovation, teamwork, and community impact.
