The company operates with a strong commitment to serving and respecting all individuals while preserving and enhancing the homes and communities entrusted to their care. With an eye towards the future, Quality Management Group strives to empower its employees, foster a positive workplace culture, and leverage technology to grow responsibly and maximize owner return and satisfaction. Their core values, which guide all operations, include Trust, Respect, Development, Adaptability, and Sustainability, enabling the company to maintain strong and meaningful relationships with both residents and employees alike.
The Porter/Maintenance role at Quality Management Group is a vital position responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of the community. This role is essential in ensuring that residents experience a clean, well-kept living environment. The duties include daily cleaning of the property grounds, supporting maintenance and landscaping efforts, and performing general maintenance tasks such as detailed cleaning and apartment turnover according to company standards and leadership. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Community Manager, and may also involve communication within a management hierarchy that includes Senior Community Managers, Area Managers, Regional Managers, and Directors.
The Porter/Maintenance professional is tasked with daily trash pickup, custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows in common areas, and cleaning various fixtures inside units and throughout the exterior of the property. Additionally, the role involves identifying and addressing health and safety risks, maintaining the maintenance shop and storage areas, assisting in preparing vacant units for new residents, and supporting regular inspections led by the Community Manager. The job requires a comprehensive walkthrough of the property for litter removal and upkeep including dumpsters, laundry rooms, mail rooms, stairways, recreation areas, landscaping, walkways, and parking lots. Furthermore, the position demands adherence to safety protocols, participation in training projects, and compliance with Fair Housing and Harassment Awareness training.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, clear communication abilities, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. The individual must be flexible, a team player, and able to professionally interface with all levels of internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality while displaying a passion for the industry and alignment with the company’s mission. Additionally, the role necessitates physical stamina to undertake daily duties that involve walking extensive areas, handling equipment, lifting moderate weights, and working in varying weather and noise conditions.
This role is critical in creating and maintaining a community environment that is clean, safe, and inviting for residents and visitors. Quality Management Group places significant emphasis on professional attire, promoting positive relationships within the community, and engaging in company-sponsored events that foster team development. Flexibility to work some nights, weekends, holidays, and at different locations may be required based on community needs. Working onsite is an essential function of the job, ensuring hands-on supervision and maintenance of the property.
Overall, the Porter/Maintenance position offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about property management and community upkeep to contribute meaningfully within a supportive and value-driven organization dedicated to excellence and resident satisfaction.
