Job Requirements

  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License
  • authorized to work in the United States
  • ability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
  • physically able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • must be able to walk 7-8 hours daily
  • ability to use hand and power tools
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • must maintain positive relationships internally

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
  • minimum two months experience in apartment property management or related field or training
  • excellent customer service skills

  • ability to handle high stress situations

  • passion and understanding of the property management industry
  • ability to read and speak English

  • practical experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • knowledge of water and gas shutoffs and sewer cleanouts
  • understanding of SDS protocols and procedures
  • knowledge of EEO and fair housing policies
  • commitment to a harassment-free environment

Job Duties

  • Maintaining all areas of the property in a safe, clean and attractive manner
  • performing daily trash pickup throughout the property
  • custodial work including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and cleaning windows in common areas
  • moving and cleaning appliances, fixtures, counters, floors, lights, windows, blinds in units and exterior
  • performing cleaning services in vacant units
  • identifying, documenting and repairing health and safety risks
  • maintaining maintenance shop and storage areas
  • assisting in turning vacant units
  • assisting Community Manager in annual apartment inspections
  • observing and reporting unusual circumstances in apartments and property
  • familiar with location of power, water and gas turnoff valves, fire extinguishers
  • cleaning up after work
  • notifying Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager about supplies
  • following safety procedures
  • assisting in inventory maintenance
  • walking property daily and removing litter
  • cleaning laundry rooms, mail rooms, leasing office, clubhouse, hallways and elevators
  • daily wiping and emptying trash in laundry and mail rooms and recreation areas
  • performing light trash-out duties at vacated apartments
  • distributing resident communications
  • other assigned tasks
