As a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Community Manager and Service Supervisor, this role typically involves working five days a week with an eight-hour daily schedule, with the possibility of weekend and after-hour emergency shifts based on community needs. The position requires medium physical effort, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling. It demands the capability to operate hand tools safely and effectively under various weather conditions.
Groundskeepers are often described as polite, friendly, professional, and exceptional by residents, underscoring the importance of delivering superior customer service. The key responsibilities include general maintenance of common areas, preventative upkeep of mechanical systems, and ensuring the grounds are consistently clean and attractive. This role goes beyond routine maintenance, promoting a positive community atmosphere through courteous interactions with residents to ensure a five-star service experience.
Additionally, the Groundskeeper supports community operations, assisting in property inspections and quality assurance reviews while maintaining safety standards on every task. They serve as critical contributors to property satisfaction and occupancy goals, underpinning the company’s dedication to high standards of community living.
Beyond maintenance, the Groundskeeper engages in the Urban Village Program which emphasizes building community connections, enhancing environments, promoting sustainability, and fostering resident leadership. This program encourages participants to collaborate with residents and vendors, distribute informational materials, support community events, and champion green initiatives such as garden boxes and beehives. Groundskeepers play a crucial role in nurturing community spirit and sustainability efforts while supporting residents to become active community leaders.
In summary, the Groundskeeper position at New Earth Residential offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a tangible impact on community well-being and property excellence. Candidates who are independent, problem-solving, organized, and communicative, with a passion for customer service and teamwork, will find this role a perfect fit. New Earth Residential invites dedicated individuals to join their exceptional maintenance team and become essential contributors to the community’s beauty and vibrancy every day.
