The Food and Beverage Porter plays a pivotal role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the service areas, directly contributing to the smooth operations of the restaurant. This full-time position requires a professional who can anticipate the needs of both guests and team members by ensuring timely replenishment of dishware, flatware, and glassware, as well as upholding strict sanitation and health compliance standards as set by the Southern Nevada Health Department. In this role, the Porter will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishware in accordance with health regulations and maintaining dry and clean floors throughout shifts to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests. They will assist in stocking service aisles and the cook’s line, supporting both front and back of house operations to help facilitate a seamless guest dining experience. The Porter is often the first point of contact and therefore plays a key role in making a positive impression by delivering exceptional guest and team service.

Additionally, the Porter is responsible for supporting other team members whenever needed, constantly ensuring that all food and beverage items meet the quality standards before being served. This position requires physical stamina to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift items up to 45 pounds while working in a moderately noisy, fast-paced environment. It also requires adherence to confidential and sensitive information protocols within the workplace.

Candidates for this role should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably have 1 to 3 years of restaurant experience. They must possess strong customer service skills with a dedication to achieving 100 percent guest satisfaction. The ability to obtain and maintain a valid food handler's certification card is mandatory. The company values honesty, integrity, and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Job Duties

  • Maintains the overall cleanliness and organization of the dish room
  • Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishware, flatware, and glassware to Southern Nevada Health Department standards
  • Replenishes dishware, flatware, and glassware to both the back of house and front of house as needed
  • Ensures clean and dry floors throughout the shift
  • Stocks dishware in the service aisle and cook’s line to ensure smooth service flow
  • Provides a strong first impression and delivers exceptional guest and team service
  • Ensures all food and beverage items are prepared to standard before being served to guests
  • Adheres to all Health Department guidelines and maintains required sanitation standards
  • Assists team members in other areas as needed
  • Performs any and all other responsibilities within the scope of the job description
