This job opportunity is for the role of a Porter, a crucial position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property's grounds and common areas. The Porter plays an essential role within the maintenance team by ensuring that the property remains inviting and well-maintained, enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, from routine landscaping and janitorial duties to assisting with minor repairs. The Porter contributes significantly to the appearance and functionality of the properties managed by Redwood Communities.

The position follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, offering a stable and predictable work routine. The pay range for this role is competitive, set between $17 to $18 per hour, reflecting the importance of the duties performed and the company's commitment to offering fair compensation. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality groundskeeping and general maintenance support, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

As a Porter, your daily activities will involve landscaping and grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, watering lawns and plants, and maintaining flower beds to ensure the outdoor areas look attractive and remain healthy. You will keep all walkways, driveways, parking lots, and exterior areas free of debris, assisting with snow removal during winter months if necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment, performing minor repairs and reporting any issues promptly to the Property Manager. Janitorial duties such as sweeping and cleaning common areas, managing trash disposal and supporting the maintenance team with various tasks will also be part of your role.
