The Porter is integral to supporting the casino's ambiance by ensuring cleanliness in restrooms, gaming areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and other high-traffic zones.
In this position, the individual performs routine cleaning duties such as sanitizing restrooms, polishing brass fixtures, dusting and cleaning casino signage, polishing slot machines, and maintaining employee breakrooms. The role also entails special tasks like supporting seasonal decorating and marketing promotions, indicating an opportunity for those interested in contributing beyond typical janitorial functions. The job may require physical activity including lifting, climbing ladders, and prolonged standing during shifts that can last between 8 to 10 hours. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in custodial or porter work preferred
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Ability to climb ladders up to 12 feet
- Ability to work standing for 8 to 10 hours
- Tolerance for common cleaning chemicals
- Ability to understand and comply with gaming regulations
- Must be able to work flexible shifts any day of the week
