Additional responsibilities include outdoor maintenance such as keeping sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances free from trash and debris, supporting special projects like seasonal decorating and marketing promotions, and helping other departments when necessary.

The role demands physical endurance and the capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Being able to work effectively in a noisy, smoky environment with high guest traffic is essential. The Porter must be familiar with specific gaming regulations, particularly the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission's Internal Control Minimum Procedures, ensuring compliance in all duties. Personal protective equipment is provided, and safety is highly prioritized, including participation in departmental safety and technical training.
