The role of Porter (Special Project) involves a variety of responsibilities centered around supporting installation crews within the community's residential buildings. The primary function is to assist with crucial tasks to ensure the smooth and safe execution of installation projects. The Porter will be responsible for checking in with the Front Desk upon arrival and receiving assignments to installation crews. This job requires close interaction with third-party installation teams, ensuring adherence to property policies, particularly regarding floor protection and unit access. The associate will be given a key by the management office to unlock units and is expected to remain on-site with the installation crew at all times to oversee the process.
Additionally, the Porter must verify that protective measures are in place to prevent damage to floors and confirm that the crew restrict their work to unit balconies only, avoiding unnecessary intrusion inside residences. The role demands mobility throughout the building to accompany the installation crew as needed, serving both as a guide and a compliance monitor. At the end of each day, the Porter will perform inspections to confirm that floor protections remain intact, areas are kept clean, and that all balconies are secured with doors closed and units locked. This ensures the safety and security of both the residents' property and the building as a whole.
This position requires strong customer service skills, effective communication, and an ability to interact professionally with residents, installation crews, and management staff. It is ideal for individuals who are attentive, responsible, and capable of managing multiple tasks with precision. Physical capability to walk, climb stairs, and handle equipment safely is necessary to perform various duties efficiently. The role is designed to support the overall maintenance and operational goals of the residential community while providing hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Candidates should be prepared to respond promptly to any emergencies, maintaining a calm and proactive demeanor throughout their assignment. This job offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in property management and maintenance services to gain insight and skill development in a reputable setting, working closely with professional teams and contributing to community well-being.
