Job Description

AutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering innovative products, exceptional services, and comprehensive solutions to empower customers in making the best decisions for their automotive needs. With a nationwide network of dealerships and a recognized brand, AutoNation provides a broad selection of new and used vehicles, financing options, parts, maintenance, and repair services. The company is also deeply committed to philanthropy through its DRV PNK mission, which has raised over $40 million for cancer research and treatment, reflecting its dedication to supporting communities, associates, and customers alike. AutoNation fosters a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply and contribute to its mission of impactful and revolutionary work in the automotive industry.

The role of Service Porter at AutoNation is vital to maintaining the high standards of vehicle care and customer service. This position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the maintenance and servicing of vehicles at the dealership. The Service Porter assists with service write-ups, handles tagging, and prepares vehicles for customer delivery by removing protective coverings and inspecting for cleanliness, stains, debris, or damages. A critical aspect of this role is to ensure the vehicle lot remains orderly, which includes moving vehicles to adhere to dealership display standards.

Additionally, the Service Porter supports the team's operational needs by transporting customers and dealership personnel as required, performing deliveries, and picking up vehicles from storage or parts from the Parts Department. The role demands effective communication skills to interact professionally with customers and co-workers, and careful attention to safety when handling machinery and driving vehicles, including those with manual transmissions. The Service Porter further participates in keeping the facility clean and organized by aiding with shop clean-up and maintaining the building and surrounding grounds.

AutoNation offers this position with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits designed to promote a healthy work-life balance. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as maternity benefits. Employees have access to attractive discounts on new and pre-owned vehicles, as well as services and parts through Associate purchase programs and platforms like YouDecide. By joining AutoNation, Service Porters become part of a supportive team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and making a positive impact in their communities through charitable efforts such as the DRV PNK mission. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about vehicles and customer service, who seek a rewarding career within a respected industry leader.
