The role of Porter at Bean Automotive Group is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the service department. This position involves receiving customer vehicles and transporting them safely between service areas, maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the service drive and parking lots, and assisting with customer vehicle delivery. The Porter acts as a vital link between the service technicians and customers by managing vehicle flow efficiently and securely. In addition to vehicle movement, Porters are responsible for washing vehicles and implementing protocols to protect vehicle inventory during severe weather events such as hurricanes. Successful candidates must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license and demonstrate a capability to drive manual transmission vehicles. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory, while communication skills and the ability to comprehend and follow instructions are crucial for this role. Employment is contingent on passing a drug, background, and motor vehicle record screening, reflecting the company’s dedication to maintaining a safe and reliable workforce.

Job Requirements
- must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license with no Type A violations in the last three years
- maximum of two Type B violations in the last two years
- ability to drive vehicles with a manual transmission
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to read, communicate and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions
- employment contingent upon successful completion of drug and background screening including MVR

Job Duties
- move vehicles from the service drive to the shop or service parking lot
- move vehicles to the service drive for customer delivery
- wash vehicles
- maintain the service drive and parking lot clean
- ensure that vehicles are safely secured in the event of an impending hurricane or other severe weather condition
- ensure that vehicles are parked in assigned areas
- make sure that all vehicles are locked and all keys are marked and put away correctly
