Job Description

Greystar is recognized globally as a fully integrated real estate platform known for its comprehensive offerings in property management, investment management, development, and construction services, particularly in the domain of institutional-quality rental housing. Established in 1993 by Bob Faith, the company has headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, and expanded its operations to over 265 markets worldwide, including North America, Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region. Greystar manages and operates an impressive portfolio exceeding $300 billion in real estate assets, making it the largest operator of apartments in the United States with responsibility for over one million units and beds globally. This extensive presence is supported by nearly $79 billion in assets under management across various platforms, inclusive of $35 billion in development assets and $36.5 billion in regulatory assets. The company's foundation is built on providing world-class service in the residential rental real estate industry, and it continues to maintain a strong reputation for excellence and growth within the sector.

The role available at Greystar focuses on maintaining the physical quality and aesthetic appeal of rental communities managed by the company. As a crucial member of the service team, the individual in this position will ensure all common areas, amenities, and grounds meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance. Responsibilities include regular inspections to remove litter, debris, and pet waste, performing minor repair tasks, supporting make-ready preparations for vacant units, and ensuring safety compliance with lock replacements and gate security. This role demands a proactive approach in identifying potential hazards and fostering a high level of customer service by addressing resident concerns and questions with professionalism and courtesy. The position involves physical activity in diverse weather conditions and requires flexibility in work hours, including availability for on-call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Offering an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, this position also provides access to bonus programs based on performance, adding financial incentives for dedicated contributions.

In addition to the competitive pay, Greystar emphasizes employee well-being by offering strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, alongside generous paid time off that expands with tenure. The company supports work-life balance and long-term career growth through programs such as a 6-week paid sabbatical after ten years of service and paid parental leave with fertility benefit reimbursements. Prospective team members can benefit from discounted onsite housing where available and other supportive employee assistance programs. Greystar values safety and integrity, requiring compliance with safety training and policies, and commits to equal opportunity employment practices. This role represents an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in real estate with a commitment to service excellence and employee development.
