Job Description
PBR Cary is North Carolina's premier country bar that celebrates the vibrant spirit of the cowboy and cowgirl lifestyle. Known for its authentic country atmosphere, PBR Cary offers patrons an unforgettable experience filled with line dancing, a wide selection of cold beers, hard drinks, and the thrill of bull riding. The establishment is a hub for those who enjoy the toughest sport on dirt and want to immerse themselves in a lively and exciting environment that captures the essence of country culture. Whether you're a regular visitor or new to the scene, PBR Cary provides a welcoming space where guests can unwind, socialize, and have a great time with friends and fellow country enthusiasts.
The Porter position at PBR Cary is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest experience within this bustling country bar. This role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties aimed at ensuring the facility is kept in top condition. The Porter is responsible for sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors; dusting furniture and fittings; emptying and cleaning trash containers; and disposing of trash in a sanitary manner. Additionally, the Porter cleans and stocks restrooms, wipes down glass surfaces, washes windows on a scheduled basis, and operates mechanized cleaning equipment.
Beyond routine cleaning, the Porter also maintains all cleaning equipment and materials, ensuring they are in safe and sanitary working order. They monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements, contributing significantly to the smooth operation of the venue. This role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and a team-oriented attitude, as the Porter often collaborates with other staff members to uphold the high standards of cleanliness expected at PBR Cary.
The ideal candidate for the Porter position should be courteous and pleasant to all guests, embodying the friendly and inclusive spirit of PBR Cary. While English-speaking skills are beneficial, they are not a strict requirement, making this an inclusive opportunity for a diverse range of applicants. Experience in the porter or janitorial field is a plus but not mandatory, opening the door for individuals eager to begin or continue their work in a similar capacity. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is important due to the dynamic and often busy schedule of the bar.
Physically, the Porter must be capable of carrying or lifting items up to 40 pounds, frequently standing and moving throughout the facility, handling objects and equipment, and engaging in bending, stooping, and kneeling. These physical demands highlight the active nature of the role and the importance of stamina and reliability. PBR Cary values its staff and ensures a supportive working environment that celebrates teamwork and the collective effort to provide an outstanding customer experience.
This position is not only about maintaining cleanliness but also about contributing to the overall atmosphere and guest satisfaction that make PBR Cary a standout destination. By ensuring the environment is welcoming and well-maintained, the Porter plays a crucial part in the ongoing success and reputation of this iconic country bar. Applicants interested in joining the PBR Cary team will find a unique opportunity to be part of a lively, fun, and distinctive cultural setting where hard work and a good attitude are greatly valued.
