The role demands a high level of attention to detail, as the Porter must inspect all assigned areas daily and report any cleaning or maintenance discrepancies to their supervisor. Duties also include ensuring all cleaning solutions are handled according to OSHA guidelines, maintaining the supply of sanitary and cleaning products, and operating new equipment safely and effectively.

The Porter must also maintain a friendly and professional attitude, uphold security procedures, and work cooperatively with building staff. Specific responsibilities include emergency cleaning, floor finishing and burnishing, restroom cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, refilling dispensers, and thoroughly cleaning all restroom fixtures.

Physical demands of the role are significant; candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds following safety procedures, stand for extended periods, crawl into tight spaces, work under various environmental conditions, and navigate the property efficiently. The ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to three feet above ground level is also required.
