Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- Crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain
- Walk and climb stairs
- Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property or building as required
- Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers
- Complete all required forms
- Ability to respond to emergencies promptly
- Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level up to 3 feet
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, and trash disposal
- Inform supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintain cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements
- Remove trash from premises and assist in emergency cleaning
- Properly utilize new equipment following safety procedures
- Maintain friendly and professional attitude
- Inspect assigned areas daily and report discrepancies to supervisor
