Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader specializing in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has carved a niche in the industry by offering comprehensive, end-to-end services across venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company manages a diverse portfolio that includes seven world-class owned venues alongside a prestigious client roster composed of iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions that span four continents. This extensive reach and influence underscore OVG's dedication to transforming the live entertainment experience through innovation and excellence.
The Porter position at Oak View Group is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation across all food and beverage areas, back-of-house spaces, and public service locations within the venue. This part-time role, paying between $19.00 and $25.00 hourly, supports daily operations by ensuring that all concessions, bars, restaurants, kitchens, catering areas, and guest spaces remain spotless, well-stocked, and prepared for events. The Porter’s responsibilities are critical to fostering a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment that enhances guest satisfaction and supports streamlined venue operations.
Beyond routine cleaning duties, this role involves active participation in event preparation and breakdown, including the physical setup such as moving tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies. Porters are entrusted with responding promptly to spills, accidents, and guest service needs, ensuring safety and comfort during events. The position also entails operating cleaning machinery, managing waste disposal, restocking operational supplies, and assisting in receiving deliveries. Importantly, those in this role must adhere closely to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols, including properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning chemicals.
This role is well suited for individuals with a keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during event days, is essential. Experience in hospitality, sports and entertainment, or food and beverage operations is advantageous but not mandatory, making this an accessible opportunity to gain valuable experience within the live entertainment industry.
Oak View Group is deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, creating a workplace that reflects the vibrant communities it serves. The company prides itself on fostering an environment where all voices are heard and valued, driving innovation and excellence in every aspect of its business. OVG is an equal opportunity employer, ensuring fair treatment for all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, veteran status, disability, or any legally protected attribute. The Porter role offers an excellent chance to contribute to a world-class venue’s success while developing a career within an industry-leading organization.
