The Service Porter role at Nissan Chattanooga East is an essential position designed to enhance both the dealership’s operations and customer experience. As a Service Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the dealership's appearance, efficiently moving and parking vehicles, and delivering exceptional service to customers visiting the service department. This role requires a proactive and attentive individual who understands the importance of first impressions in the automotive service industry. The Service Porter greets customers warmly, assists with their inquiries, and ensures seamless vehicle handling from arrival to departure.

In this position, you will perform a variety of tasks including recording critical vehicle information such as VIN, tag number, mileage, and any existing damage during customer vehicle check-in. You will play a key role in maintaining safety and traffic flow within the dealership lot by moving vehicles as needed between service lanes, stalls, and parking areas. Additionally, part of your responsibility is to ensure that the dealership premises—including driveways and sidewalks—are clean, organized, and visually appealing to all visitors.

Providing excellent customer service is at the core of this role. You will assist customers by directing them to the appropriate personnel, retrieving their vehicles promptly at cashier pickup, and thanking them for their business—a fundamental part of enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction. To protect service vehicles, installing disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags is required. Beyond vehicle handling, you will support service department staff by replenishing vehicle fluids and undertaking minor assistance tasks as necessary.

Safety is paramount in this role, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any accidents immediately to the management team. Nissan Chattanooga East values detail-oriented professionals who exhibit strong communication skills and a clean driving record. The position offers competitive pay, starting at $17 per hour depending on experience, and a full-time schedule with excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with company match, and paid time off.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the automotive industry who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Prior automotive experience and basic mechanical knowledge are preferred but not required, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates ready to contribute and grow within a leading organization.
