Job Description
Le Pain Quotidien, translating to "the daily bread," is more than just a source of nourishment; it represents a cherished lifestyle centered on community, tradition, and sharing. Founded on the principle that breaking bread together fosters connection, warmth, and comfort, this acclaimed bakery-restaurant chain invites guests to gather around communal tables filled with freshly baked loaves, fresh ingredients, and rich pastries. The atmosphere is one of conviviality and calm, encouraging patrons to slow down and enjoy each other's company and the wholesome quality of food.
Operating as part of Convive Brands, a New York-based hospitality group known for cultivating and managing premium restaurant brands across the United States, Le Pain Quotidien has established itself as a beloved destination for those seeking high-quality, artisanal bakery fare and thoughtful dining experiences. Convive Brands manages over 50 restaurants nationwide under the Le Pain Quotidien and Little Beet concepts, emphasizing long-term growth and excellence in service.
This job opening is an opportunity to join a highly reputable hospitality group that values patient investment in its team members as well as organic and strategic expansion. The role offered is that of a Dishwasher, a vital position that ensures the smooth operation of the kitchen through effective cleaning, organization, and support duties. This is an hourly position with pay ranging from $14.00 to $18.00 plus tips when eligible. It offers the chance to work in a team-oriented environment where cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency are top priorities.
The Dishwasher responsibilities include operating the dish machine safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness standards for kitchenware, baskets, crates, and food prep areas. You will also be responsible for keeping dish detergents and chemicals stocked and labeled properly, assisting with basic food preparation according to predefined standards, and ensuring refrigerators and freezers are organized and well-maintained. The ability to follow opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures is essential, alongside completing daily checklists and side work assignments. By maintaining order and cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including bakery and kitchen areas, you contribute directly to a positive guest experience and smooth kitchen workflow.
Le Pain Quotidien and Convive Brands take pride in fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They are committed to providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability, or any other protected category. Working here means becoming part of a welcoming and supportive community that values each individual's contributions and encourages professional growth.
In this role, you’ll develop practical skills in kitchen operations, food safety, and teamwork while benefitting from comprehensive company-contributed health coverage, paid time off, retirement plan options including a 401k with company match, pre-tax commuter benefits in applicable states, and exclusive team member discounts. If you are motivated to work in a fast-paced, friendly hospitality environment that values tradition, quality, and collaboration, this position offers a rewarding career path within one of the industry’s leading brands.
