The role of a Dishwasher at Le Pain Quotidien is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and smooth operation of the bakery and kitchen. This position is an hourly, part-time to full-time opportunity offering pay between $17.00 and $23.00 per hour plus potential tips. As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for safely loading, operating, and unloading the dish machine while ensuring that all kitchenware and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and stored properly. The dishwasher plays a fundamental role in supporting kitchen staff by maintaining proper levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen chemicals, managing deliveries, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
In addition, dishwashers help uphold the cleanliness and organization of refrigerators, freezers, kitchen tools, and small wares, contributing to a hygienic and efficient work environment that aligns with Le Pain Quotidien's reputation for quality and care. You will also participate in daily opening, mid, and closing procedures, completing checklists and side work assignments to ensure smooth operations throughout the day.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training preferred
- ability to safely operate dish machine
- ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
- physical ability to perform repetitive tasks standing for long periods
Job Qualifications
- 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training preferred
- flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Load, operate, and unload dish machine safely and efficiently
- keep the dish machine and sinks clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
- wash and store all kitchenware, baskets and crates
- maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
- properly label, replenish and store chemicals
- put away delivery or orders as assigned
- ensure refrigerators and freezers are clean, organized and well-maintained
- maintain adequate levels of clean small wares, equipment and tools in the bakery and kitchen
- assist with basic food preparation according to the checklist and prep sheets
- complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures
- complete daily checklist and side work assignments
- keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklist
