Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Respect and consideration for people being served
- Maintain confidentiality of clients and programs

Job Qualifications
- Must be able to work comfortably within a difficult population
- Life experience and food certificate can substitute for high school diploma
Job Duties
- Report directly to the Facility Manager regarding janitorial and facility-related issues
- Clean bathrooms including sinks, showers, and toilets
- Clean kitchen and serving areas including sinks, counters, appliances, and utensils
- Bag trash after meals
- Wash tables, sweep and mop dining rooms
- Clean building entrance, hose sidewalks, remove ice and snow as required
- Remove garbage debris and replace trashcan liners
- Manage laundry room operations including washing, folding, and arranging laundry
- Distribute clothing to residents
- Clean all public areas and assigned workspaces
- Complete assigned work orders
- Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, buffing, mopping, and vacuuming
- Perform minor repairs and painting of facility property
- Assist with ground cleanups and snow removal
- Store and retrieve deliveries and supplies
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Maintain care and maintenance of tools, supplies, and equipment
- Drive agency vehicles and accurately track mileage
- Retrieve and deliver interoffice mail to DHS and DHQ
- Maintain safe and sanitary workspace following OSHA regulations
- Operate across multiple shelters as needed at the discretion of Operations Coordinator
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
