The current role is focused on maintaining the physical integrity and aesthetic appeal of a Lease-Up garden-style community comprising 269 units. The position operates on a Tuesday to Saturday work schedule and requires availability for on-call duties. An hourly pay range for this position typically falls between $20.67 and $22.00 in Sacramento, reflecting the essential responsibilities and contributions required. This position is eligible for incentive-based bonuses and offers a 20% housing discount to support employees. The role’s prime responsibility is to ensure that the community grounds and amenities are kept to a high standard including litter removal, upkeep of common areas, and support of the service team members.
As a vital part of the team, the incumbent will inspect the property regularly to maintain cleanliness and order. Duties include removal of trash from vacant apartments ahead of make-ready processes, minor service requests, lock changes in accordance with property policy, gate maintenance for pool areas, and assisting in communication dissemination to residents. The role demands strong customer service skills with an emphasis on respectful and sensitive engagement with residents while adhering to Greystar’s safety and risk management policies. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred, and effective communication skills in both English and Spanish are advantageous for this position. Candidates must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on the property.
Physically, this role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform tasks under various weather conditions. The role includes lifting weights up to 25 pounds independently and potentially up to 50 pounds with assistance. Flexibility is essential, as the schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays with on-call responsibilities. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in property maintenance or similar field
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish preferred
- CPO certification preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
Job Duties
- Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times
- Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas
- Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager, and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process
- Changes all locks in accordance with the property's policy and ensure gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards
- Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary
- Informs appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests and others
- Demonstrates customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services
