Since its inception in 2004, Paths has been committed to creating and preserving high-quality affordable housing communities that not only provide shelter but also enhance the overall quality of life for residents. With a robust portfolio of over 14,000 units under management in 13 states and a dedicated team of more than 500 employees, Paths offers comprehensive services that span the entire property life-cycle, including development, construction, property management, maintenance, and security. This broad spectrum of capabilities positions Paths as a leader in the affordable housing sector, renowned for its commitment to community development and resident well-being.

The Porter role at Paths, based in the Knoxville, Tennessee community of Summit Towers, is vital to the ongoing maintenance and cleanliness of this active residential property. The position is full-time with an hourly pay rate of $18.00, and it is classified as a non-exempt role eligible for overtime. The Porter works closely with the maintenance team, providing essential support that ensures the property remains clean, safe, and attractive for all residents. This hands-on position involves physical activity throughout the property and demands a dependable individual who is proactive, willing to undertake diverse tasks, and comfortable adapting to a dynamic environment where routine meets flexibility. Duties range from daily interior cleaning of common areas and vacant units to exterior maintenance such as snow removal and grounds upkeep. In addition to these responsibilities, the role requires the Porter to monitor property conditions vigilantly, report safety and maintenance concerns promptly, and assist with minor repair tasks. This combination of duties contributes directly to the smooth operation of the community and enhances resident satisfaction. Paths values team players who exhibit a strong work ethic, professionalism in resident interactions, and an ability to manage time efficiently. Working at Paths as a Porter offers the opportunity to be part of a mission-driven company that takes pride in community impact and provides a supportive work environment with comprehensive benefits. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys active work, values a clean and safe environment, and seeks a meaningful position within the affordable housing sector.
