Job Requirements
- Previous porter experience preferred
- Ability to work full time or part time with open availability
- Must be able to work weekends
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Must comply with company policies
- Ability to communicate effectively
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous porter experience is preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned
- Floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots
- Cleans cooking stations and equipment
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or loads dishwashing machines to ensure sanitation
- Keeps display equipment clean and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to storage areas observing safe lifting
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures while following HACCP standards
- Abides by all company safety policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
- Maintains personal commitment to safety for self and others
- Performs other duties as assigned
