The Porter position at the Genentech location in South San Francisco, CA, offers full-time employment with a schedule Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the front-of-house area, including all tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations. Porters ensure that all tables are promptly bussed and cleaned during peak service times, supporting a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests. They handle dishwashing duties, including washing dishes, glasses, and pots, while adhering to sanitation standards. Additionally, porters assist with safely receiving and transporting heavy deliveries, and they maintain the cleanliness of display equipment and cooking stations. This role requires a personal commitment to safety for oneself and others, following company policies such as wearing protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes, and practicing proper lifting techniques.
