The Porter position at Bon Appetit offers full-time employment based at 700 Bellevue Way Northeast, Bellevue, Washington. The schedule operates Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm or from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This role features a fixed hourly pay rate of $25.00 and includes additional benefits such as staff meals and a shoe stipend, alongside opportunities for employee referral bonuses. As a Porter, the successful candidate will be essential to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and operational flow of the front-of-house area. Job Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work Monday through Friday on designated shifts
- Prior stocking experience preferred but willing to train
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment
- Adherence to company policies and standards
- Willingness to undergo background screening if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior stocking or foodservice cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work early morning and daytime shifts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots
- cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards

- Abides by all Company policies and procedures including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
