Job Description
Eurest, a division of Compass Group, is a global leader in the foodservice industry known for its commitment to service excellence and innovation. With a strong presence worldwide, Eurest serves some of the most respected corporations, including many Fortune 500 companies. By embracing a local presence with global resources, Eurest promotes community enrichment and an ownership mindset among its associates. The company is dedicated to fostering diversity of thought and inclusion, which it views as key drivers of its success. Eurest’s promise to "connect with people, inspire through food, create solutions, and live our promise" is demonstrated throughout the organization and the exceptional service it delivers.
The Porter position at Eurest is a full-time opportunity based at the Delta SEA location in Seatac, Washington. This role is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall operation of the front-of-house area in a hotel or resort environment. Porters are responsible for ensuring dining areas, including tables, counters, floors, and beverage stations, are clean and orderly at all times, especially during peak service hours. This position requires open availability, with weekends being a mandatory part of the schedule. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or fine dining setting is preferred to support smooth and efficient service delivery.
The role offers a fixed pay rate of $20.75 per hour with the added perk of weekly pay, making compensation both reliable and timely. Candidates can apply easily online or via a helpful conversational recruiting assistant that facilitates the application process through text messaging.
Key responsibilities include bussing tables, clearing and cleaning dining areas, washing dishes and cooking equipment, assisting with receiving deliveries while following safe lifting protocols, and maintaining proper food presentation adhering to HACCP standards. Safety is paramount at Eurest; thus, porters must follow established procedures including the use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques to prevent workplace injuries.
Eurest is dedicated to the professional and personal well-being of its associates, offering a comprehensive range of benefits for both full-time and part-time employees. These benefits include retirement plans, associate shopping programs, health and wellness initiatives, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and several voluntary benefit options like critical illness and accident insurance. Full-time employees also have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, commuter benefits, an employee assistance program, and flexible spending accounts. Associates may be eligible for paid or unpaid time off in accordance with applicable laws.
Compass Group, the parent company of Eurest, prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer. The organization ensures fair treatment of all candidates and employees without discrimination based on race, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic. The company also supports reasonable accommodations to qualified candidates to successfully perform essential job functions.
This posting communicates that while the described responsibilities represent a comprehensive overview, they are not exhaustive, and the employer reserves the right to modify duties based on business needs. Prospective employees should be aware that, depending on the position and location, additional screening such as Florida Level 2 background checks might be required.
Apply promptly as positions remain open until filled, with continued consideration for future opportunities for those not selected immediately. Eurest’s drug-free workplace policy further underscores its commitment to safety and professionalism in the work environment. Join Eurest and Compass Group to be part of a thriving, inclusive company that values excellence and continuous growth in the hospitality and foodservice sectors.
