This role is for a Porter position within gategroup, which involves essential duties supporting the cleanliness and sanitation of the workplace. The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in a variety of areas, including workspaces, floors, walls, equipment, dish rooms, coolers, utility areas, locker rooms, restrooms, office spaces, and transportation zones both inside and outside the facility. This role is critical in upholding sanitation standards in compliance with corporate requirements and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment for all employees and visitors. As part of the job, the porter will perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash disposal, and general cleaning duties. Working effectively as a team member and following directions from management is emphasized. The position demands physical capability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds frequently during shifts that may exceed 8 hours, as well as the ability to work in an environment exposed to temperature fluctuations, noise, chemicals, and industrial cleaning materials.

Candidates are preferred to hold a high school diploma or GED and have up to one year of relevant experience. Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write to complete necessary forms and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers, are essential. The schedule may vary and include weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
