The Porter role at Legends Global involves a critical function in ensuring smooth daily operations within venues associated with the agency's numerous projects. This position is responsible for the delivery, maintenance, stocking, and cleaning of supplies and equipment. The Porter ensures that sufficient product supplies are available throughout the venue and supports the setup and breakdown of functions as required. Duties range from washing china, glassware, and silverware, to cleaning kitchen equipment and ensuring all tools are stored correctly. Maintaining a safe, clean working environment is paramount, alongside practicing safety protocols rigorously. The role also involves transporting food and equipment across the venue, monitoring supply levels, assisting with inventory tasks, and ensuring timely deliveries of requisitions. The Porter assists members professionally, fulfills opening and closing duties as assigned, and supports management with any additional tasks. This position demands reliability, flexibility to work varied hours including nights and weekends, and the physical ability to manage lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds frequently. Candidates will work in an open-air environment and must be punctual, well-groomed, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read, speak and write English
- ability to work all venue events with a flexible schedule including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work outdoors in varying climate conditions
- punctuality and dependability
- maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance
- sufficient mobility for physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting
- ability to lift items weighing 10-30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must be able to read, speak and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests
- ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
- must be punctual and dependable
- must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards
- must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
- ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
- ability to effectively listen and take direction from management
- ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Job Duties
- Washes all china, glass, and silverware
- cleans all equipment, pots, and pans pre, during, and post-event
- stores all equipment in proper locations
- sweeps and mops all floors in the kitchen and office areas
- maintains a clean and safe working environment
- practices safe work habits, follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- transports food and equipment throughout the venue as needed
- monitors cleaning supply stock levels per venue needs
- ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly
- performs and assists with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility
- ensures that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner
- assists with deliveries and stocking storeroom and side stations
- assists members in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- fulfills the assigned opening and closing duties as assigned by the Chef
- performs other duties as assigned by management
