The Porter role at Legends Global is a vital position that ensures the smooth operational flow within the venue by managing deliveries, maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and providing crucial support during functions. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and service excellence. Porters play an essential part in maintaining the venue’s high standards by handling equipment cleaning, managing inventory, assisting in event setup and breakdown, and ensuring all areas remain clean and orderly throughout an event’s duration. Working closely with the team and under the guidance of the Chef and management, this role requires flexibility, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Candidates for the Porter role are expected to be dependable, punctual, and well-groomed, maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards aligned with company policies. The position involves frequent interaction with staff and guests, requiring good communication skills and a professional attitude. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be able to read, speak and write English
  • ability to work various shifts including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • punctual and dependable
  • maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards
  • sufficient physical mobility including standing, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage service
  • strong listening skills
  • ability to multitask under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be able to read, speak and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests
  • ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
  • must be punctual and dependable
  • must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards
  • must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
  • ability to effectively listen and take direction from management
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting

Job Duties

  • washes all china, glass, and silverware
  • cleans all equipment, pots, and pans pre, during, and post-event
  • stores all equipment in proper locations
  • sweeps and mops all floors in the kitchen and office areas
  • maintains a clean and safe working environment
  • practices safe work habits and follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • transports food and equipment throughout the venue as needed
  • monitors cleaning supply stock levels per venue needs
  • ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly
  • performs and assists with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility
  • ensures that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner
  • assists with deliveries and stocking storeroom and side stations
  • assists members in a timely, efficient and professional manner
  • fulfills the assigned opening and closing duties as assigned by the Chef
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
