The role of Porter at Cal-Am Properties involves maintaining and enhancing the value of common area amenities within various communities, including the clubhouse, fitness center, and pool areas. This is a crucial position that helps preserve the appearance and functionality of these shared spaces, contributing to resident satisfaction and the overall aesthetic of the community. The Porter is responsible for various cleaning and maintenance duties, including light housekeeping, ensuring that facilities remain clean, organized, and in good condition. Customer service is an essential aspect of this role, as the Porter regularly interacts with residents and is expected to represent the company professionally at all times. This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some weekend work required on occasion to meet the propertys needs or address emergencies. Job Duties
- Maintains facilities are kept clean, organized and in good repair
- refill and tidy clubhouse beverage service station
- clean community vehicles on a weekly basis and as needed
- check the bathrooms for cleanliness regularly and restock toilet paper and other supplies as necessary
- assists in setting up mini models and ensuring units are clean and tidy for daily showings
- empty trash cans and doggy stations throughout the property
- work with maintenance supervisor to ensure resident service requests and concerns are handled in a timely manner
- may complete chlorine check as scheduled and requested
- check the pool regularly for leaves and other debris and remove them using the skimmer as soon as possible
- straighten and clean pool furniture as needed throughout the day
- check the level of the pool water periodically especially on extra hot days and add water if the level is beneath regular levels
- performs on-call emergency service as required
- walk ready units daily and use spiff kit as needed to maintain a clean unit
- maintains open communication with Property Manager
- represents company in a professional manner at all times
- attends and participates in training seminars as requested
- assists other staff members as needed
- delivers various communications to residents as needed
