The role of a part-time Community Porter is an integral part of maintaining the standards and aesthetics of the communities managed by FirstService Residential. This position is based in Mesa, AZ and requires a commitment to ensuring that all facilities, grounds, and amenities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Working Sunday through Thursday from 6 PM to 11 PM, the Community Porter will be compensated at a competitive rate of 20 dollars per hour, reflecting experience, education, and the specifics of the job responsibilities.
As a part-time Community Porter, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks. These duties are essential to ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Responsibilities include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing floors; general cleaning of common areas; setting up and removing decorations for community events and meetings; and performing minor maintenance work such as replacing light fixtures and power washing. The role additionally involves emptying and sanitizing trash receptacles, cleaning and restocking restrooms, maintaining custodial equipment, and ensuring the exterior grounds remain tidy and orderly.
This position requires an individual with strong attention to detail, exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and residents. The Community Porter must be capable of following both oral and written instructions accurately, keeping meticulous records, filling out logs and journals, and performing administrative duties as needed. Being physically capable of standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, as well as safely lifting up to 40-50 pounds, is necessary for performing the job effectively.

- One year experience of janitorial or custodial work is highly preferred
- able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
