Known for its commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and quality repairs, Gerber Collision & Glass is part of The Boyd Group, a company that values diversity, integrity, and inclusion. The organization prides itself on building strong, supportive teams aimed at helping employees grow professionally while delivering industry-leading services in collision and glass repair. Welcoming unique talents from all backgrounds, Gerber Collision & Glass embraces varied perspectives, including those of Protected Veterans and individuals with disabilities, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. The company ensures that every team member has access to the necessary resources and infrastructure to succeed and excel in their roles. Employment at Gerber Collision & Glass offers a rewarding experience with a focus on career advancement and a positive working atmosphere. The Porter role is an essential position within Gerber Collision & Glass, primarily focused on complementing the quality repairs by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of customer vehicles as well as supporting the overall upkeep of both shop and office facilities. This role requires a proactive attitude towards ensuring high standards of cleanliness and orderliness in all assigned areas, including pre-washing vehicles, cleaning post-repair vehicles, and maintaining the parking lots and grounds. In addition to vehicular care, the Porter helps maintain the cleanliness of the production and office interiors by emptying garbage, sweeping, dusting, and properly organizing tools and equipment. The position also involves transporting vehicles to sublet locations for repairs, requiring a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and eager to learn, with some automotive experience preferred though not mandatory. Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are necessary, given the nature of the duties. Gerber Collision & Glass offers this full-time role with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $15 to $21, depending on skill, education, and experience levels. The company also presents bonus opportunities tied to both individual and business initiatives, adding further incentive for high performers. Beyond compensation, Gerber Collision & Glass provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and career growth, including paid time off, paid parental leave, medical, dental, vision coverage effective from day one, and retirement plans with company matching. Additional benefits like short-term disability, life insurance, voluntary life coverage, and continuing education opportunities make this position highly attractive for candidates seeking stability and long-term growth in the collision repair industry. With a welcoming and employee-focused culture, Gerber Collision & Glass ensures its Porters are well-equipped and motivated to contribute positively to both the customer experience and internal operations. This role is vital to upholding the company's reputation for excellence, cleanliness, and operational efficiency across all facilities.
