This job opening is for full-time and part-time Porter positions at the Fluor location in Greenville, SC. The employment schedules are Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 am, with more detailed scheduling to be discussed during the interview process. The pay rate for these positions is fixed at $14.00 per hour. The role of a Porter at ESFM is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house areas, which includes cleaning tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations. This position is integral to ensuring a seamless and hygienic service environment that supports smooth operations during peak service times.
The Porter’s duties encompass bussing, clearing, and cleaning tables and floors, adhering to strict safety procedures when handling dishes and utensils, and washing dishes, glasses, and cooking equipment. The role also involves keeping display equipment clean, assisting with receiving heavy deliveries and transporting them safely to storage areas, and following all company safety standards including personal safety commitments and compliance with policies such as the use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant footwear. Candidates for these positions must have prior janitorial, housekeeping, or day porter experience and possess a valid driver's license. Job Requirements
- Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or day porter experience required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work full-time or part-time, Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 am
- Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy items
- Willingness to maintain sanitation and safety standards strictly

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or day porter experience

Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots
- cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
