The Service Porter role at Charlie Clark Auto Group is an essential position within the service department, requiring an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. The Service Porter will perform multiple duties related to the smooth operation of the service department, acting as a vital liaison among customers, technicians, service associates, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates, and management to facilitate efficient service flow. This role involves both driving and vehicle handling responsibilities, ensuring that customers are transported safely to their destinations while managing vehicle movements within service areas to meet production goals.
Service Porters are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization within the service department by keeping service bays, trash areas, and offices orderly and free of debris. This attention to cleanliness contributes directly to the professional appearance of the dealership and supports a positive customer experience. Additionally, the role requires strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding workplace safety and environmental standards, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste materials.
The position demands physical endurance and agility, as Service Porters frequently stand, walk, and use their hands while also being able to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The candidate must have good vision capabilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. A valid Texas driver's license with insurability and the ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission are mandatory.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to drive a standard transmission
- Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk frequently
- Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to safety and hazardous waste disposal
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
- Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
- Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance
- Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
