Gerber Collision & Glass is currently seeking a Porter to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring the customer experience is flawless from the moment vehicles enter the facility until they are delivered. The Porter complements the repair team by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of customer vehicles both before and after repairs. This position also encompasses maintaining the shop and office facilities, including the daily upkeep of interiors and exteriors, careful handling of waste and materials, and assisting with vehicle transportation when needed. The Porter plays a pivotal role in supporting operational efficiency by keeping the work environment clean, organized, and safe.

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the office interior including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the production area including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment
  • Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
  • Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs
  • Perform exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs
  • Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
