The role available is for a Building Cleaning Worker, a vital position within Brookfield Properties that plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of commercial and institutional buildings. This role encompasses responsibilities traditionally associated with porters, janitors, maids, housekeeping cleaners, window washers, and rug shampooers. The purpose of the position is to ensure that all areas within the property are clean, safe, and presentable, enhancing the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.

The Building Cleaning Worker will have a comprehensive range of duties including cleaning offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms alongside other work areas. The role requires expertise in wet- and dry-mopping floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Additional tasks include pressure washing, gum and graffiti removal, and performing minor repairs such as painting and carpentry. The worker will also be responsible for replenishing bathroom supplies, landscaping, and winter snow removal. Floor care includes sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. The role extends to cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, as well as dusting furniture and equipment and replacing light bulbs. Transporting small equipment or tools between departments and setting up tables and chairs for various events is also part of the daily functions.

Candidates for this position should either possess a High School Diploma or GED, or have equivalent work experience.
