Job Description
Associa is a premier property management company dedicated to providing exceptional services to community associations, homebuyers, and residents alike. Known for our commitment to excellence, innovative solutions, and community-focused approach, Associa plays a vital role in enhancing neighborhood experiences across various regions. As an industry leader, we offer world-class training, extensive resources, and supportive environments for our employees to grow professionally while contributing meaningfully to the communities we serve.
The Facilities and Maintenance Technician position at Associa is an essential, community-centric role that directly impacts the quality and safety of shared spaces within the community. This hands-on role involves routine custodial duties, minor repair work, facility maintenance, event setup, and ongoing inspections to ensure all amenities remain inviting and fully operational. Working closely with the Maintenance Specialist and Office Administrator, this technician helps uphold the community's high standards for cleanliness, safety, and appearance, thereby supporting a welcoming environment where all residents feel proud and comfortable.
The role operates from our office located at 2085 NW 153rd Avenue, Beaverton, Oregon, with a unique weekly schedule spanning Thursday through Monday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The position also requires flexibility for occasional additional hours during evenings, holidays, or weekends to accommodate community events, facility rentals, or operational needs. Employees enjoy a hybrid work style with a blend of in-office and remote work, along with numerous benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, paid time off, company cellphone, and mileage reimbursement.
Key responsibilities of the Facilities and Maintenance Technician include performing custodial tasks such as trash removal, mopping, restroom sanitation, and restocking supplies. The technician conducts daily inspections of amenities like the Recreation Center, Gym, Pool, and Community Room to identify cleanliness or safety concerns. Additionally, the role demands assisting with light maintenance repairs, equipment assembly, and setting up for community events. This technician also ensures the compliance and safety of the community by following established protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
This position is ideal for individuals with a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented mindset. The ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with team members and residents is vital. At Associa, we're committed to fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth, continuous learning, and community engagement. If you have 1-2 years of experience in custodial, maintenance, or related fields and enjoy contributing to a tidy, well-maintained environment, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be a meaningful part of a supportive team dedicated to enhancing community living.
