Gerber Collision & Glass is actively seeking a Porter to join their team. This vital role supports the repair process by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of customer vehicles and the facility, ensuring a high standard of service delivery. The Porter is responsible for pre-washing vehicles before repairs commence, cleaning both the exterior and interior post-repair, and transporting vehicles to sublet locations as needed. Additionally, the Porter helps uphold the WOW (Wow Operating Way) standards by maintaining the shop, office, parking lots, and grounds in an orderly and safe manner.

This full-time position offers competitive compensation ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, and comes with a robust benefits package that supports employees' health, well-being, and work-life balance. The ideal candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, dependable, and eager to learn. Automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory, and a high school diploma or GED is recommended. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Maintain daily housekeeping of the office interior including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas
  • Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment
  • Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
  • Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs
  • Clean the exterior and interior of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
  • Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
