The Porter role at Gerber Collision & Glass plays a vital part in complementing quality repairs by focusing on vehicle cleanliness and shop organization. This position is responsible for maintaining both the appearance and cleanliness of customer vehicles as well as the shop and office facilities. The Porter ensures that vehicles are pre-washed before repairs, cleaned thoroughly after repairs, and transported safely to sublet locations when necessary. This role is integral to delivering a WOW customer experience by ensuring every vehicle looks its best upon delivery. Moreover, the Porter helps maintain a safe and orderly work environment through diligent housekeeping of production and office areas as well as the parking lots and grounds.

The position is hourly, with compensation ranging between $14 and $20 per hour, reflecting the company's recognition of the value this role brings. It is suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to a team-oriented workplace. Ideal candidates have automotive experience or a strong interest in working in the automotive repair field, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess the physical capacity to perform various manual tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
