The Porter role at Gerber Collision & Glass plays a vital part in complementing quality repairs by focusing on vehicle cleanliness and shop organization. This position is responsible for maintaining both the appearance and cleanliness of customer vehicles as well as the shop and office facilities. The Porter ensures that vehicles are pre-washed before repairs, cleaned thoroughly after repairs, and transported safely to sublet locations when necessary. This role is integral to delivering a WOW customer experience by ensuring every vehicle looks its best upon delivery. Moreover, the Porter helps maintain a safe and orderly work environment through diligent housekeeping of production and office areas as well as the parking lots and grounds.
The position is hourly, with compensation ranging between $14 and $20 per hour, reflecting the company's recognition of the value this role brings. Job Duties
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
- Maintain daily housekeeping of the interior office including garbage disposal, floor cleaning, and dusting
- Maintain daily housekeeping of production area including waste disposal, sweeping floors, and organizing tools and equipment
- Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion including shoveling sidewalks
- Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repair
- Clean customer vehicles' interior and exterior after repairs
- Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
