Job Description
Bean Automotive Group is a nationally recognized automotive group renowned for upholding Miami's rich automobile heritage. With four well-established locations including Kendall Toyota, Lexus of Kendall, West Kendall Toyota, and Lexus of West Kendall, Bean Automotive Group has built a reputation for exceptional customer service and automotive excellence. Each dealership is dedicated to delivering an outstanding experience for every customer, one vehicle at a time. As a prominent player in the automotive retail industry, the group takes pride in its commitment to quality, integrity, and community involvement, making it a highly sought-after employer in the Miami area.
This job opportunity is for the position of Porter within the Bean Automotive Group's operations. As a Porter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow and safety of vehicles throughout the service department. You will be tasked with receiving customers' vehicles, transporting these vehicles securely to the repair shop where technicians will perform necessary services, and then returning the vehicles to customers upon service completion. The Porter position is essential to maintaining an organized, clean, and professional environment in the service area. Additionally, you will be responsible for vehicle maintenance tasks such as washing and parking vehicles appropriately while maintaining all safety and security protocols, particularly during severe weather events like hurricanes.
The role offers a competitive compensation package and an attractive benefits program, which includes three weeks of paid time off annually, paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a 50% employer match. Porters will also receive paid health, gap, life, and AD&D insurance, as well as eligibility for dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and voluntary life insurance. Bean Automotive Group supports employee development with ASE certification reimbursement and access to continuing education programs, offering manufacturer hands-on training and web-based courses to enhance your automotive career. Employees benefit from an award-winning wellness program, healthcare premium incentives, paid volunteer time-off, and exclusive employee discounts. This thorough benefits package reflects the company’s dedication to supporting both the professional and personal well-being of its associates.
The ideal candidate for this Porter position is someone who possesses a valid and unrestricted driver's license, has a clean driving record with minimal violations, and the capability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions. While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read, communicate, and comprehend simple instructions, with a common-sense approach toward routine operational tasks. Employment is contingent upon passing a comprehensive drug and background screening, including a motor vehicle record check. Bean Automotive Group values diversity, equal opportunity, and maintains a drug-free workplace. The group fosters a respectful work environment representative of merit, competence, and qualifications. Employees should be aware that employment is at-will and can be terminated by either party at any time without cause or notice.
