The position of Porter at Asset Living is a critical role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall appeal of the managed communities. The Porter supports the maintenance team by assisting with corrective, preventive, routine, and cosmetic maintenance tasks across the property. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the Porter helps ensure the property meets operational standards and is inviting for residents and visitors alike.

This role involves regular daily onsite attendance and requires a hands-on approach to maintaining grounds, buildings, breezeways, and all common areas within the community. Responsibilities include cleaning, trash removal, responding promptly to resident and management requests, conducting inspections to minimize hazards, and assisting in preventative maintenance programs to preserve the property’s condition for the long term. The Porter plays an essential role in making units ready for new residents, ensuring repairs and replacements are completed efficiently.

Beyond maintenance duties, the Porter represents the community’s commitment to excellent customer service. The role demands a focus on fostering positive resident relations by responding promptly to requests, projecting a favorable image of the community, and consistently enforcing community policies. Asset Living offers a competitive compensation package for this role, with a salary range of $17 to $20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
