The position of Porter at REG is a vital support role within the catering and hospitality operations. The Porter assists Event Assistants, Stewards, and dishwashers by ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of catering storage rooms and equipment. This role involves polishing silverware, glassware, and china, managing inventory, and preparing necessary supplies for events. The Porter is also responsible for handling the logistics of moving supplies and equipment to and from event venues, including driving the catering truck when needed. This role requires flexibility in schedule, including readiness to work holidays and weekends, and a valid driver’s license is mandatory.

- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work a varied schedule including holidays and weekends
- Flexibility with schedule and time changes
- Prior experience as a porter or dishwasher recommended

Job Duties
- Ensuring all silverware, glassware, and china is shined and polished
- Ensuring the catering storage rooms are kept organized and all supplies and equipment are returned to the correct assigned storage areas after every event
- Wash and store dishes and storage room equipment in their proper place
- During events, assist with moving supplies and equipment from the dish pit to the china room
- During the week, assist with pulling supplies and equipment using event checklists
- Load supplies and equipment onto the catering trucks
- Drive supplies and equipment in the catering truck to the appropriate venue(s) when needed
