The Porter role at Asset Living plays a vital function within the maintenance team, directly supporting the upkeep and continual improvement of property grounds and facilities. The Porter is responsible for routine maintenance tasks, preventive upkeep, and prompt response to maintenance requests, ensuring that all common areas, buildings, and grounds are kept in excellent condition. This role also supports the make-ready process, preparing units efficiently between tenant occupancy, which is crucial for maintaining high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.

Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Community Manager, the Porter is an integral part of a dynamic maintenance team. The position demands daily onsite presence and a hands-on approach to community maintenance, requiring physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and utilizing a range of maintenance and cleaning equipment. The Porter is also expected to actively participate in safety programs, helping to uphold OSHA standards and fostering a culture of safe work practices within the community.
