Job Description
Rich Entertainment Group (REG) is a vibrant and multifaceted entertainment company that operates an extensive portfolio of businesses designed to bring friends and families together through unique, memorable experiences. As part of this dynamic group, Rich Products Corporation supports REG with a strong foundation as a family-owned food company. With more than 13,500 associates in 100 locations worldwide and annual sales of $5.9 billion, Rich's is a global leader in food innovation and service, proudly serving homes, restaurants, and bakeries across the globe.
REG's diverse operations include a variety of culinary and hospitality businesses such as Rich's Catering & Special Events—Western New York's preferred caterer, known for exceptional wedding cakes and desserts—as well as a collection of restaurants including Kaiyo Grill & Sushi and Green Turtle Inn in Islamorada, Florida. The company also operates three minor league baseball teams, including the Buffalo Bisons. These enterprises combine sports, entertainment, and delicious food to create affordable, family-friendly experiences. Additionally, REG manages prominent cultural destinations like Canalside and Outer Harbor in Buffalo, hosting a range of arts, cultural, entertainment, and fitness activities. Their Travel Team offers esteemed full-service travel solutions for corporate, group, and leisure customers around the world.
This Porter position is based in Buffalo, NY, and forms an essential part of the culinary segment of REG. The role primarily supports event services by assisting the Event Assistant/Steward and dishwashers with the cleaning and maintenance of catering storage rooms, managing inventory, and ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready and accounted for at events. This role is vital in upholding the high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service quality expected at REG events. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and physically able to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and operating event equipment.
Working as a Porter with REG offers a competitive hourly wage ranging between $16.00 and $17.00, reflective of experience, skills, and shift specifics. The company values flexibility, requiring the Porter to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the business. A valid driver’s license is essential, as this job occasionally involves driving catering trucks to deliver supplies and equipment to various venues.
Rich's and REG are committed to an inclusive and equitable working environment and adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity policies. They encourage applicants from all backgrounds and provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities throughout the application process.
Joining REG means becoming part of a family-owned company that truly cares about its associates, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance, professional growth, and community involvement. Employees benefit from an array of company perks, including health and financial benefits, paid time off, parental leave, flexible work policies, and community engagement opportunities. REG’s dedication to fostering a supportive environment is a core component of their identity, highlighting their motto: 'Because in the company of family, all things are possible.'
