The role of Porter / Restaurant Maintenance Technician at Culver's of Viera is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant’s daily functions. The Porter begins early each day at 6 am, setting the tone for operational readiness by preparing the restaurant and its equipment to the high standards expected by Culver's. This includes opening the doors, inspecting the premises, completing scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment according to a strict calendar, and ensuring the kitchens are stocked with safe, fresh ingredients. Job Duties

  • Coordinates job duties around other opening team members to help ensure efficient preparation for opening
  • completes scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly according to the equipment maintenance calendar
  • provides superior maintenance to the interior and exterior of the restaurant
  • maintains the appearance of the building and grounds including landscaping and snow removal
  • puts food order away and rotates stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area while monitoring shelf life and code dates
  • maintains a working knowledge of the operation of all restaurant equipment
  • completes cleaning tasks including grills, fryers, kitchen floors, equipment, coolers, freezer, bathrooms, parking lot, patio and power washing
  • reports possible areas of incomplete closing to opening manager and completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
